Let me dance,
to this cacophony.
I'll place my feet elegantly,
sway my arms swiftly,
arch my back gently,
submitting myself to this
loathed melody.
It's enigmatic,
it's sinister,
but it wants to be felt,
such a beautiful symphony.
It makes me dance,
sans pretentious clothing,
on winter nights,
on broken glass,
decorating the stage
with my blood and sweat.
I think
it's her way of telling
that truths are cursed
but beautiful.
How kind of you
to warn me
of my dangerous whims
but my darling,
your melodies are deafening
unlike this cacophony
that makes me drown in it
As I let it infest me,
corrupt me,
teaching me
what ecstasy truly is.
So, I beg of you,
let me dance;
to this cacophony.
