Anna was excited by the idea of opening up. She could unleash all her demons and no one would mind that. Paradoxically, the more she opened up, the lonelier she felt. Everyone accepted her demons but no one liked what her demons liked. They were different. Their own demons were different. She couldn't relate. She cried in a language they couldn't understand. What was the point then? Anna was excited by the idea of opening up, but now that she did, she'd rather not face the reality of how lonely she is because no one around her could fix that.
She locked up her demons again. Conveyed her gratitude to the people who gave her acceptance and set off on an unknown journey. There has to be a niche where her kind existed. The journey would be painful, but she knows it now. Familiarity is much more exciting than acceptability. Pain is a small price to pay for that.
